Dr Rhiannon Bevan

Dr Rhiannon Bevan started her medical career with a Bachelor of Biomedical Science from Bond University and worked as a sleep technologist at The Children’s Hospital at Westmead.

This was followed by a Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery with Honours from the University of Sydney.

Dr Bevan completed her specialty training in Toowoomba and became a fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners in 2018 with a Diploma in Child Health.

Her areas of interest include Women’s Health,  Child Health and Travel Medicine.

When not at work, she enjoys reading and spending time with her family.

Dr Carmody
Dr Cameron Carmody

Dr Carmody has worked in many nursing roles in Victoria ACT and Queensland, both as a senior clinician and as a health administrator, his last role was a Director of Nursing position in country Queensland prior to starting his medical degree.

He has significant experience in Intensive Care Medicine, Emergency Medicine and the surgical specialties Orthopaedics and Otolaryngology Head and Neck surgery prior to joining General Practice. Dr Carmody has an active interest in chronic disease management, sports medicine, skin cancer medicine and surgery. While having interest in all aspects of family medicine.

Married with four children, two cats, one dog, and a single goldfish.

He currently provides medical support to the Darling Downs Australian Rules Football community and in particular the University Australian Rules Football Team. He is also supportive of Smithy’s boxing gym and their events in the Garden City.

Dr Dimitri Perera

Dr. Demitri Perera is a fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners and graduated with a MBBS from the University of Queensland in 2014. He is originally from Canada and completed a BA in psychology at the University of British Columbia. His special interests include men’s health, mental health, and chronic disease management. He enjoys all areas of general practice and is LGBTQIA+ inclusive.

Dr Sidya Raghavan

M.B.B.S., F.R.A.C.G.P., MSc Clinical Education (Edin)

Dr Raghavan is an experienced General Practitioner serving the Toowoomba community for the last 10+ years. She completed her Fellowship in General Practice (RACGP) in 2014 and a Master in Clinical Education through the University of Edinburgh. She is also a senior medical educator and trains RACGP registrars and medical students (MD). She is also an examiner for the RACGP exams. She enjoys teaching and training the next generation of doctors. Her special interests are Chronic disease management, Women’s health, Child health, Mental health, Preventive care, Skin checks and Medical education. When not working she enjoys spending time with her family.

Dr Peter Hopson

Dr Hopson graduated from the University of Sydney in 1983, commencing his medical career in Wollongong, Bowral and Shoalhaven Hospitals.  He undertook training in general practice, rehabilitation and sports medicine while in NSW, before moving to the Lockyer Valley, then Toowoomba to work in general practice. 

Dr Kara Roberts

Dr. Kara Roberts completed her medical degree at the University of Queensland in 2019. She also holds a Bachelor of Pharmacy from the same institution and has experience working in community pharmacy in northern New South Wales.

In 2020, Dr. Kara relocated to Toowoomba, where she has primarily focused on Obstetrics and Gynaecology. She has completed a Certificate in Women’s Health and is passionate about supporting women through all stages of family planning, antenatal, and postnatal care. In addition to her work in women’s health, Dr. Kara has a strong interest in children’s health and chronic disease management. She currently works part-time and is excited to be joining the team at Clifford Gardens Medical Centre as a GP registrar.

Outside of work, Dr. Kara lives in Toowoomba with her partner, young son, and golden retriever. She enjoys staying active through group fitness classes, reading, and exploring the Darling Downs region with her family.

Dr Laura Lee-Allison

Dr Laura Lee-Allison graduated from UQ with MBBS in 2010 and trained in various hospitals in Brisbane before moving to Toowoomba in 2014 to pursue GP training. She completed her training through RACGP in 2016. She worked in Pittsworth from 2016 – 2022 and gained valuable experience in rural health, chronic disease management, emergency medicine, geriatric medicine, and palliative care. 

Dr Lee-Allison enjoys all facets of family medicine and the encounters with wide array of people from all age groups.  She is passionate about providing a holistic continuity of care for her patients. Her special medical interest includes skin cancer medicine, chronic disease management, women’s health and children’s health.  

Prior to her medical career, Dr Lee-Allison completed BBiotech from Griffith University and worked as a research assistant. Outside of work, she enjoys cooking, movies and spending time with her family and friends.  

Dr Mehreen Ghaus

Dr. Mehreen Ghaus is an accomplished GP Registrar with extensive experience in both
Australian and international healthcare. Prior to her current role, she worked as a Resident
Medical Officer at Queen Elizabeth II Jubilee Hospital in Queensland, where she gained
valuable expertise across a range of medical specialties.


Her diverse clinical background includes working in various hospitals across Queensland,
allowing her to adapt to different medical environments and patient needs. In addition, her
international medical experience has enhanced her ability to provide culturally sensitive and
comprehensive care.


Dr. Ghaus is dedicated to preventative medicine, holistic patient care, and fostering strong relationships to support her patients’ overall health and well-being. She is committed to
patient education and empowering individuals to take an active role in their health journey.
In her free time, Dr. Ghaus enjoys exploring the natural beauty of Queensland and pursuing
personal growth through wellness activities.

Dr Kevin To

Dr Kevin To is originally from Toronto, Canada where he completed multiple degrees in the field of sciences before emigrating to Australia to earn his medical degree from the University of Queensland in 2021.

He worked as a resident medical officer at several hospitals around north and south-east Queensland in various specialties but particularly enjoys general practice. He has a passion for teaching patients about their health and mentoring students. Outside of work, Kevin is a fan of horror movies and loves New York-style cheesecakes.

Dr Zoe Cooper

Dr. Zoe Cooper graduated from the University of Queensland in 2017 and gained experience across multiple hospitals in Brisbane before relocating to Toowoomba in 2022 to commence her General Practice training. Captivated by the charm of Toowoomba, she chose to stay and continue practicing locally after earning her Fellowship with the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners in 2024.

Dr. Cooper enjoys all aspects of general practice and provides holistic care to patients of all ages. She has a special interest in complex and chronic disease management, preventative care, women’s health, neurodiversity, and mental health.

Before pursuing a career in medicine, Dr. Cooper worked as a chemical engineer in diverse industries, from steel refining to brewing. Outside of work, she loves exploring Toowoomba with her young family.

Dr Thekaru Gamage

Dr Thakeru is a GP Registrar who studied medicine at the University of Queensland and graduated with a MD in 2020. He practiced at the Ipswich Hospital for 3 years before moving to Toowoomba to practice as a GP. His special interests are in Preventative Health and Chronic Disease Management.
